Your bhajan library,
organised at last.
MSG Songs is a document management system built for devotional music — lyrics, diaries, recordings, set lists and performance history, all in one place.
Available for macOS, iPhone and iPad.
Everything a singer needs, in one library
MSG Songs keeps the words, the recordings and the memory of every performance together, so nothing is lost between one event and the next.
A proper bhajan catalogue
Record Hindi and English titles, lyrics, the diary or granth a bhajan came from, its page number, writing date, tempo, scale, rhythm, genre, language and your own remarks.
Diaries and granths
Organise your collection into nested folders that mirror your physical diaries, and arrange them in exactly the order you want rather than the order a computer picks.
Renditions you can play
Attach PDFs, audio, video and text files to any bhajan and open them without leaving the app. Sheet music, a live recording and a reference track all sit beside the song they belong to.
Performance history
Log each performance with its occasion, location and date. See at a glance how often a bhajan has been sung and when you last performed it.
Set lists for every event
Build playlists ahead of a programme, reorder them as the evening takes shape, and keep them for the next time the same occasion comes around.
Search that understands Devanagari
Filter by favourite, released, sync status, or by whether a bhajan has ever been performed and between which dates. Synonym-aware search and Unicode normalisation mean Hindi text is found however it was typed.
Sync to your own server
Keep several machines in step through your organisation’s sync server. Changes made on one device appear on the others, and authorised team members stay on the same library.
Bulk import and Excel export
Bring in an existing collection from a structured folder of files in one pass, and export your catalogue to Excel whenever you need it outside the app.
Built for live use
Keyboard shortcuts move you through lyrics, renditions and the next song in a set list without hunting for a button — designed for a laptop open on stage.
Who it is for
MSG Songs was built for singers, musicians and archivists who look after a large body of devotional music: handwritten diaries that have grown over decades, recordings scattered across drives, and the practical questions that come up before every programme — which bhajans have we sung recently, where are the words, and do we have a recording of that one.
It works equally well for a single performer keeping a personal collection and for a group maintaining a shared archive that several people sync to.
